Each of the research Institutes carries out specialized studies and research, and offers a wide variety of symposiums, lectures, and more, and the fruits of the research are fed back into the college and graduate school education, as well as society at large.

Research Institute of Economic Science

Researchers, both from the university and from the outside, are making advancements in comprehensive and collaborative research of economic theory and its practical uses in the real world. Interdisciplinary academic research topics and activities here are always at the forefront of the field and always reflect the current mood of the times. And research findings, when applicable, are announced in public research meetings or symposiums held here, and distributed in reports and "Kiyo" (Research Bulletin) within the university and outside to other universities and research Institutes.

Institute of Business Research

A wide range of research is carried out here, involving industry, management, accounting and other related fields. The main part of the research revolves around the "Surveys on Business Administration Trends" Project, designed to bring to light current corporate management trends. Research findings are published in the newsletter, "Journal of Business Research," and "Shoho" more.

The objective of CCAS is to research into the field of economics in China and other Asian ountries. Researchers of various fields in addition to economics cooperate to study Asian specific problems caused by many languages, religions, races, politics, and so on. A general theme of our current esearch is 'The Asia filled with diversity and flexibility 2020'. CCAS undertakes joint research with both domestic and foreign institutes.
