学習目標(到達目標) 文字媒体を主とした時事英語の独特な語彙・表現形式に慣れ，報道される出来事を英語で理解し，自分自身の考えを発展させる能力を培うことを目標とします。
The goal of this class is for students to interact with various kinds of popular media in English, to develop reading skills, and to express their ideas on a given topic.
授業概要(教育目的) 新聞・雑誌・インターネットなど文字言語を媒体として報道されるニュースを主として扱います。時事英語に独特の語彙・表現を学び，読解力を高め，時事問題への理解を深めることを目的とします。
This class focuses mainly on written texts in print and on the Internet. Students develop reading skills including vocabulary and expressions typical of current English, and awareness about current issues.
