授業形式 This course focuses on real stories from Japanese and international newspapers. In addition to developing advanced reading and discussion skills we will emphasise analysis and explanation of the issues by giving presentations that draw on the socioeconomic and geographical background.

評価の特記事項 ほぼ毎週教科書関係の小テストがあって、たまには（2回ぐらい）レポートも書かせます。その他の評価は主にクラス参加に基づいて行われます。

オフィスアワー(授業相談) 原則としては水曜日のお昼ですが、出来ればその前日までに口頭やメールで連絡してください
事前学習の内容など，学生へのメッセージ The articles will not necessarily be studied in the order in the textbook, but students will be given sufficient notice to prepare in advance and study the socioeconomic and geopolitical background. The course will not be easy for students failing to prepare before class.
