Students will be able to talk with confidence about their everyday lives and themselves in English.

Students will be able to listen to and understand information and explanations regarding everyday lives and modern society.

④英語が使用されている社会の文化背景を理解し，場面に合った適切な英語表現（丁寧表現など）を使うことができる。
Students will be able to express their ideas in an appropriate way (e.g. with regard to politeness and formality) based on the cultural contexts of sites where English is used.

授業概要(教育目的)

英語のスピーキングとリスニングに関する既習事項を確認・活用して，自身が伝達したいことを口頭で表現できるようになること，そして相手が伝達したいことを聴き取って理解できるようになることを目的とします。
This class gives students the opportunity to develop basic skills in speaking and listening. Attention mainly focuses on pronunciation, intonation and basic communication strategies.

演習形式を中心として授業を進め，ペアまたはグループによる練習なども行います。内容理解を確認するための小テストや課題提出等を随時課します。
This class places stress on practical training, including work in pairs or groups. Comprehension quizzes and assignments will be given as needed.

This challenging course will focus on Presentation skills, basic communicative concepts and "best practices". Students will make many short presentations (both individual and pair work) in order to focus on ideas, logic, organization, pronunciation and strong delivery.
