学習目標(到達目標) The focus of this course is to help students to understand how an economy develops; how government policies affect economic development; and how to assist an economy to achieve and improve the status of economic development.
授業概要(教育目的) This course will facilitate and enforce students’ understanding and knowledge over the basic analytical framework on economic development. In particular, it will examine the market forces and government policies that affect economic development. Certain specific cases and debates will be included.

授業形式 This course consists of lectures and in-class discussions. Students are expected to read the assigned chapter(s) prior to the class, ask questions, present their ideas, write reports when they are assigned, and take exams. Enthusiasm matters a lot in this course.
