授業概要(教育目的) 英語のスピーキングとリスニングに関する既習事項を確認・活用して,自身が伝達したいことを口頭で表現できるようになること,そして相手が伝達したいことを聴き取って理解できるようになることを目的とします。
This class gives students the opportunity to develop basic skills in speaking and listening. Attention mainly focuses on pronunciation, intonation and basic communication strategies.

授業形式 演習形式を中心として授業を進め,ペアまたはグループによる練習なども行います。内容理解を確認するための小テストや課題提出等を随時課します。課題に関してのフィードバックは原則として授業中に行います。
This class places stress on practical training, including work in pairs or groups. Comprehension quizzes and assignments will be given as needed.
In principle, feedback on the assignments will be given in the class.

事前学習の内容など,学生へのメッセージ This course will require an active use of the imagination as well as of the English language. The materials are designed to challenge students into thinking about topics linked to the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and engineering, but more importantly to the human condition.
