学習目標(到達目標) 時事英語の独特な語彙・表現形式を学び,読解力を向上させ,自分の考えを英語で述べることができる。
Students will be able to learn vocabulary and expressions through various kinds of popular media in English, develop reading skills, and express their ideas on a given topic.

授業概要(教育目的) 新聞・雑誌・インターネットなど文字言語を媒体として報道されるニュースを主として扱います。時事英語に独特の語彙・表現を学び,読解力を高め,時事問題への理解を深めることを目的とします。
This class focuses mainly on written texts in print and on the Internet. Students will develop reading skills including vocabulary and expressions typical of current English, and awareness about current issues.
