学習目標(到達目標) 時事英語の独特な語彙・表現形式を学び，読解力や聴解力を向上させ，自分の考えを英語で述べることができる。
Students will be able to learn vocabulary and expressions through various kinds of popular media in English, develop reading and listening skills, and express their ideas on a given topic.

授業概要(教育目的) テレビ・ラジオ・インターネットなど音声言語を媒体として報道されるニュースを主として扱います。時事英語に独特の語彙・表現を学び，読解力と聴解力を高め，時事問題への理解を深めることを目的とします。
This class focuses mainly on spoken materials. Students will develop reading and listening skills including vocabulary and expressions typical of current English, and awareness about current issues.

授業形式 演習形式を中心として授業を進めます。内容理解を確認するための小テストや課題提出等を随時課します。課題に関してのフィードバックは原則として授業中に行います。
This class places emphasis on practical training. Comprehension quizzes and assignments will be given as needed. In principle, feedback on the assignments will be given in the class.
