学習目標(到達目標) This course aims to enable the students to:
1. Obtain understanding of Japan's changing family organization and issues pertaining to family
formation and dissolution.
2. Gain insight into how and what direction Japanese families will be shifting in the future.

授業概要(教育目的) The aim of this course is to examine the distinctive features of family life in contemporary Japan.

授業形式 Attention will be given to ensure a good mix of lecture by the instructor and class discussion. Students will be given ample opportunities to express their ideas in English. Students will also be given an opportunity to conduct small research in a group and present materials in the class.
